SWAG Holy Habits Day, Saturday 22nd June
Holy Habits grew out of a study of Acts 2:42-47 by Methodist minister Andrew Roberts. He identified ten habitual practices of the early church that could help develop and enrich our discipleship today. From his study, the URC and Methodist churches have developed resources for churches wishing to pursue ‘a Spirit-filled life of discipleship that is holy, adventurous and missional’.
The ten habits are: Biblical teaching, Fellowship, Breaking Bread, Prayer, Sharing resources, Serving, Eating Together, Gladness and Generosity, Worship and Making More Disciples. We do these already, but we could do them more intentionally.
The SWAG Holy Habits day on 22nd June will give us chance to look at 4 of the 10 in a little more depth, alongside our friends from other churches in our South West Area Group, including Perivale, Ealing Green and Wembley Park.
The day runs from 10am-4pm, here at Holy Trinity Perivale. Do come if you can. If you need a lift, please let me know.
